| It is common to have to manufacture electrode assemblies for chronic in-vivo recordings. This involves tedious soldering and the epoxy of electrodes. Often the electrodes are made of stainless steel which makes soldering difficult. To solve this problem NeuroTek now offers a connector assembly with pre-attached electrodes. This assembly consists of a connector mounted on a printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is routed to a set of small holes. The electrode wire (even stainless steel) is placed into the hole and then soldered in place. Electrode assemblies can come with any connector style and can be reused if one is willing to de-solder the electrodes from their holes. |
