MICD-SM-NT

Microdrives are a common method to isolate brain cells in freely-behaving animals, through precise positioning of electrodes. NeuroTek produces the first commercially available, modular, reusable microdrive mechanism. These drives are composed of aluminum and intended to fit with our stereolithography drive-body designs. Clock-wise turns of the drive, with the screw-driver, increments the electrodes into the brain for isolation. This ultra small drive can be used easily with mice and has a 000-120 thread and is compatible with our dual hippocampus mouse drive.
