Quiet Commutation and Optogenetic slipring coupling

We finally finished our adaptation of the Doric optoslipring to our motorized commutator and gave it a test run. We are using magnets to align the optogenetic slipring to the commutator so that the bearings in the optoslipring don’t need to perfectly align with our commutator. This is important because it saves the wear and tear on your device. We have also now released our super-quiet commutator. For the human ear to hear this thing move, your ear needs to be right up next to the commutator housing! We will be offering this as an extra for anyone concerned about noise levels. We owe special thanks to our bright customers who provide helpful suggestions for enhancing their electrophysiology experience.
